BBC News: UK brings in strict curbs on life to fight virus
Updated: Mar 27, 2020
The UK decides to put strict measures in place to fight the Covid-19 spread in the country.
These measures install a new lockdown phase, allowing people to leave home only to go shopping for basic necessities, to exercise once a day, to seek medical assistance or provide care for a vulnerable person and to travel to and from work when an absolute necessity. The measures are also banning gatherings of more than two people and suspending all social events, as well as closing non-essential businesses, stores, and public premises.
